The Utah Badlands are primarily located in the central and southeastern parts of the state. The predominant geological feature in the area is the Factory Butte. This region includes numerous parks and protected areas, including Capitol Reef National Park, Goblin Valley State Park, San Rafael Swell, and the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park.
