Grand Canyon Rafting

We enjoyed the spectacular white water rapids and stretches of calm water, encouraging us to relax in the warm sun and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.  We created our sandwiches at lunchtime, grabbed a cold drink, and relaxed.  In addition, we would sometimes hike – before shoving off again for an afternoon of surprises.

This trip was number one on our bucket list, and the seven days on the Colorado River proved worth it.  Unimaginably beautiful scenery, the dramatic contrast of calm waters preceding the thrill of whitewater, spectacular meals and guides that know the Colorado River like none other—all setting the scene for the most incredible adventure of our life.

Arizona River Runners

We finalized each day with a hearty meal and camping under a canopy of stars.  We learned about the history and geology of the mighty Colorado River.  The river crew guided us through famous rapids, took us to waterfalls deep within the canyon, and wowed us with their backcountry culinary skills.  We can not thank the crew enough for such a memorable experience.
